Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a Contract-to-long-term position, offering an excellent opportunity for skill development and potential ongoing placement. The ideal candidate will excel in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage customer accounts by monitoring and minimizing past-due balances, ensuring timely payments. u2022 Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement effective collection strategies. u2022 Handle cash applications, including payments made via cash, checks, and wire transfers. u2022 Utilize customer payment portals to process transactions efficiently. u2022 Generate and review 90- to 120-day past-due reports, working diligently to reduce outstanding balances. u2022 Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to meet collection goals and contribute to overall department success. u2022 Demonstrate clear communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and team members. u2022 Utilize Excel for basic formulas, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis. u2022 Learn and operate accounting software systems as required for daily tasks. u2022 Address customer deductions and resolve discrepancies effectively. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable, including cash applications and collections. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheet creation. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software systems and customer portals. u2022 Strong analytical skills to review aging reports and identify trends. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate professionally. u2022 Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills. u2022 Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory. u2022 Knowledge of vlookups and pivot tables in Excel is preferred but not required.
