Job Description

The primary function of the refinery material handler will be to perform the sampling, monitor and load/unload incoming trucks and railcars, monitor tank levels, and perform transfers of material within the tank farm, daily. This position reports to the Operations Manager and works 7 days on and 7 days off. Monitor incoming trucks bringing in used motor oil, antifreeze, and oily water. Monitor outgoing trucks taking out asphalt and wastewater. Monitor the loading/unloading operations the entire time the pump is moving product to or from the truck. Individual will be able to drive powered lift trucks and be aware of their load limits. Perform maintenance, housekeeping, or other activities in the warehouse, truck rack, and dock area as directed by supervisor. Train relief personnel on operations as needed. Rigidly adhere to safe work practices/procedures set forth by regulating authorities and the company and never compromise the safety of any personnel, company, or contractor. Will be required to undergo periodic industrial safety training as required by regulating authorities and the company. Wear all proper PPE including fall protection when required.
