Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our partnered client in the Libertyville area, is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Configuration Technician to join our team. As a 2nd Shift Configuration Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product excellence by install and configure various operating systems across a wide range of hardware and collaborating with cross functional teams. The role requires strict adherence to company standards for safety, quality, and productivity to ensure smooth and effective operations. Why You'll Want This Job: - Pay: $23.00/hour - Hours 3:30PM-12AM. Monday through Friday plus overtime based on business need. - This position does require a training on the morning shift for one to two months then transition into the night shift. - Location: Libertyville, IL - Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Get your foot in the door with a leading manufacturer Skills: - Inspect products for compliance with documentation and customer specifications - Ensure all process and product changes are accurately documented. - Capable of recognizing RAID configurations through a Terminal. - Install software images through internal PXE environment. - Perform troubleshooting activities for computer hardware issues, including tasks like reseating CPUs, Memory and inspecting cable connections. - Communicate production problems with Production, Engineering and Sales departments. - Assemble computer hardware from build documentation. - Contribute to team goals and continuous improvement initiatives. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years in assembly manufacturing field. - Experience using computers and e-mail including proficiency in Microsoft office products - Linux experience preferred - 2 years of knowledge of computer hardware or networking - Strong problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Basic computer skills. - Work well with others and demonstrate a great work ethic. - Ability to lift 50 lbs. - Ability to follow written instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. - Must be able to work additional hours and weekends when required.
