We're building the future of space access by designing and delivering high-performance satellite platforms that scale from early demonstration missions to full constellations. Our integrated bus-and-payload approach gives customers a faster, more reliable path from concept to orbit. If you're passionate about precision engineering and want your work to fly—literally—we'd love to meet you.As an early-stage startup, we're wearing many hats to support each other and deliver the best systems for our customers. While we don’t yet have dedicated office or lab space, both are in development and expected to be available in the coming months. The RF Engineer will design, develop, and optimize advanced radio frequency systems supporting satellite communications, and space vehicle operations. This role is critical to enabling reliable space-to-ground and inter-satellite connectivity across high-performance networks. The engineer will contribute to end-to-end RF architecture — from conceptual design and simulation to integration, test, and mission operations — ensuring robust, high-throughput, and secure communications for both commercial and sovereign missions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in hardware, digital signal processing, embedded software, and systems engineering to design and validate RF subsystems, antennas, and communication systems that perform in demanding environments. This position requires technical expertise, analytical rigor, and a strong passion for advancing space-based RF technologies.Lead the end-to-end design of satellite and ground RF systems, including transceivers, phased arrays, beamforming architectures, and frequency plans across L-E bandsDefine link budgets, propagation models, and system requirements for space-to-ground, inter-satellite, and terrestrial networksCollaborate across antenna, digital, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to deliver mission-critical RF capabilities for space communication missionsMentor junior engineers, establish design standards, and represent RF engineering in program-level technical reviewsQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related technical field5+ years of hands-on experience in RF systems engineering, including design, analysis, integration, and test of communication systems for aerospace or satellite applicationsExperience with RF simulation and modeling tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS, MATLAB, or equivalentFamiliarity with digital signal processing, modulation techniques, and error correction used in satellite communicationsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and integrate RF hardware across bench and field test environmentsUnderstanding of RF front-end design, including filters, amplifiers, mixers, and transceivers.Preferred ExperienceWorking knowledge of RF link budgets, antenna theory, propagation modeling, and microwave subsystem design (L, S, C, X, Ku, or Ka bands)Ability to analyze RF channel impairments (phase noise, multipath, nonlinearity, fading).Proficiency with RF test and measurement equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, and power meters)Working knowledge of RF safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI), and grounding/shielding practices per MIL-STD and NASA/ESA standardsWhy Join UsWork on spacecraft systems that will fly in spaceDirectly influence the design of a scalable satellite platformTake ownership of high-impact subsystems in a collaborative, cross-functional teamCompetitive salary, meaningful equity, and full benefitsEarly-stage environment with significant upside and growth opportunitiesCompensationYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total compensation package.
