Technical Sales Support needed for an Abrasive Supplier in Amherst, NY! Direct Hire Opportunity! Pay: $55k-65k/year Hours: 8am-5pm/M-F This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of our Value-Added Services, including project development, production, laboratory testing, etc., as well as helping with technical sales support. Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Support employee: Work with the Technical Sales Director, the Production Manager & our customers to design and establish processes that will meet the requirements of our customers, as part of our Value-Added Services. These processes may include general screening, magnetic separation, crushing, blending, coatings, and more. Set up and run trials to streamline / optimize new process. Test physical characteristics of products in our labs. Testing includes, but is not limited to: Particle Sizing, Loose Pack Density, Tap density, Moisture Content, True Density, Surface Area, pH, and Conductivity. Interact with Customer Service and Quality Control regarding order fulfillment Aid in production when operations is short-staffed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience for the Technical Sales Support employee: 2 or 4 year technical degree or 3 years of work experience in a related industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office Effective Problem Solving Skills & attention to detail Ability to interact technically with customers Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel to other locations (different states) Ability to lift 55 lbs.
