Description VACATION COVERAGE 11/23-12/3 Responsibilities: u2022 Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, providing assistance and guidance as needed. u2022 Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling while maintaining accurate records of cancellations or missed appointments. u2022 Verify insurance coverage and gather required information to support billing processes. u2022 Input and maintain precise patient data within electronic medical record systems such as Epic or Cerner. u2022 Handle billing tasks by collecting copays, managing forms, and ensuring accurate account reconciliation. u2022 Respond to inbound calls, addressing patient inquiries and redirecting them to appropriate departments. u2022 Assist with patient check-ins, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. u2022 Support administrative tasks, including maintaining charts, graphs, and other patient-related records. u2022 Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow. u2022 Uphold confidentiality and compliance with medical regulations in all interactions. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional training in medical terminology or office administration preferred. u2022 Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as Epic or Cerner. u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff. u2022 Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in fast-paced environments. u2022 Familiarity with software such as Allscripts, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, and EHR systems. u2022 Experience handling billing functions and managing patient accounts. u2022 At least one year of experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting. u2022 Certifications such as Certified Coder or experience with Registered Health Information Technician are a plus but not mandatory.
