For more information, please visit We DoOperations Counsel provides in-house legal and regulatory advice relative to topics affecting the insurance and financial services industries; provides legal counsel to operational teams; drafts contracts, policies and procedures, occasionally interfaces with regulatory authorities and reports to management on changes in applicable law and regulatory trends in the industry.What You'll Do:Responsible for providing and rendering practical, timely, and high-quality legal counsel and guidance to the company division (s) and department (s) to which you are assigned, working closely with the independent Corporate Compliance Department to ensure compliance throughout the organization with regard to applicable laws and regulationsAssignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuityMay act in advisory capacity, making recommendations which have a major bearing on the conduct of the organization's businessWhat You'll Bring:Law Degree RequiredAdmitted to practice in state of employmentTypically has 3 -8 years professional experience in area of specializationLicensed to practice law, in good standingKnows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specializationKnowledge of Federal and State regulationsWell-developed legal research, contract drafting, risk assessment and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressureAbility to build and maintain rapport with leadership, team members, and external contactsThe pay range for this role is $126,100 - $168,125 annually.This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
