Job Description

Record and update daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger for a retail bakery business. Record financial data and keep records complete, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll. Reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts. Prepare invoices, process payments, and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prepare and verify daily bank deposit reports by compiling data from cashiers, verifying, and balancing receipts. Identify, report, and resolve discrepancies in financial records accurately and promptly. Prepare and issue checks for operational expenses and bills, including utilities, rent, supplies, and contractor payments; ensure timely payment schedules. Track and manage inventory costs and vendor bills to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Maintain digital and physical financial records, invoices, payment records, vendor contracts, and files in an organized manner. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management. Support the external CPA firm by providing financial records for monthly, quarterly, and year-end filings and tax preparation, and processing payroll by compiling timesheets and calculating wages. Answer internal inquiries regarding financial transactions and account status.
