Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team in Orange, California. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing exceptional employee support while safeguarding confidentiality. Responsibilities: u2022 Process semi-monthly payroll for all employee groups, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. u2022 Input and review payroll data, including adjustments for additional roles, stipends, and extra compensation. u2022 Monitor and resolve discrepancies in timekeeping records, leave balances, and missed punches to ensure accurate payroll. u2022 Oversee compliance with wage and hour laws, including tracking overtime and meal/rest break requirements. u2022 Maintain payroll schedules, deadlines, and holiday calendars within the payroll system. u2022 Prepare and deliver physical payroll checks to ensure timely distribution for employees receiving paper checks. u2022 Collaborate on special projects, such as audits, year-end reporting, and compliance tasks related to housing allowances. u2022 Update and manage employee payroll data in the payroll system, including deductions, earnings, and benefit allocations. u2022 Generate payroll reports and maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance purposes. u2022 Provide support to employees by addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with the accounting department. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for 101-500 employees. u2022 Proficiency in payroll systems such as Paycom and familiarity with garnishments and legally required deductions. u2022 Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws, including overtime and meal/rest break regulations. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage payroll schedules and data accurately. u2022 Ability to analyze payroll discrepancies and collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues. u2022 Effective communication skills to provide employee support and address payroll-related inquiries. u2022 Experience with generating payroll reports and maintaining documentation for audits and compliance. u2022 Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ensuring a positive employee experience.
