Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to oversee various tax functions, including indirect tax processes and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in corporate and payroll taxes, as well as proficiency in managing tax systems. Join our team in Santa Ana, California, and contribute to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tax-related activities. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage indirect tax operations, including sales, use, and personal property taxes, ensuring compliance with regulations. u2022 Oversee corporate tax reporting and preparation of annual income tax provisions. u2022 Supervise payroll tax processes to ensure timely and accurate filings. u2022 Implement and maintain tax software systems such as Avalara or Vertex for improved efficiency. u2022 Monitor and manage commercial collections and electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of tax processes with organizational goals. u2022 Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. u2022 Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff to enhance team performance. u2022 Prepare and present detailed tax reports to senior management. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in managing corporate tax functions, including income and payroll taxes. u2022 Expertise in indirect taxes such as sales, use, and personal property tax. u2022 Proficiency with tax software systems, with preference given to candidates experienced in Avalara or Vertex. u2022 Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with a commitment to staying current on changes. u2022 Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate tax reporting. u2022 Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and reporting to management. u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Prior experience in mentoring or managing a team is a plus.
