Billing Manager - Behavioral Health Clinic (SW Oklahoma City) Specialized Recruiting Group - Oklahoma City, OK Specialized Recruiting Group is partnering with a well-established behavioral health clinic in Southwest Oklahoma City to hire a Billing Manager. This position plays a key role in overseeing all billing operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant submission of claims for services provided. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of behavioral health billing, and a solid understanding of compliance standards and regulations within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: Oversee billing processes for Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers, ensuring compliance with OHCA, ODMHSAS, and federal/state regulations. Manage claim submissions, denials, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure timely reimbursement and billing accuracy. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to verify documentation, resolve claim errors, and ensure accurate coding. Supervise billing department staff, providing training, feedback, and support to promote accountability and continuous improvement. Analyze billing data and generate reports identifying trends, reimbursement patterns, and areas for improvement. Partner with Finance and Compliance teams to ensure documentation supports medical necessity and aligns with billing standards. Monitor OHCA policy updates, Medicaid rule changes, and managed care requirements to maintain compliance. Build and maintain positive relationships with OHCA, managed care organizations, and other payers to expedite claim resolution. Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and follow-up as needed. Review and update billing policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the integrity of revenue cycle operations. Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration in support of HOPE’s mission to deliver accessible, compassionate behavioral health care. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). Minimum of 3 years of progressive billing or revenue cycle experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings. Experience with CCBHC or community mental health billing strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of OHCA billing procedures, Medicaid policies, and managed care payment structures. Proven supervisory experience and strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
