Responsible for the accurate performance of gross dissection to support microscopic diagnosis and other duties in a manner that complies with all approved protocols. Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills to assure accurate and reliable clinical outcomes. . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES u2022 Performs examination, gross dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens, under supervision of pathologist. u2022 Actively participates in compliance and quality management activities on a daily basis and special projects as indicated. u2022 Assists with special tissue processing (tissue in special fixatives, tissue culture media, selection for culture. u2022 The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.
