Successful candidates will be involved in order entry, splitting, and will spend approximately 70% of their time focused on blood draws. Responsibilities + Perform venipuncture and blood draws on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric. + Process and ship specimens, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. + Enter orders and manage data entry accurately in the LabCorp Touch system. + Collaborate with doctor offices for order confirmations and patient information. + Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies in a busy patient service center. + Handle up to 120 blood draws daily. Essential Skills + Proficiency in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and blood draw techniques. + Experience with centrifuge operations and specimen processing. + Strong data entry skills and familiarity with medical records management. + Exceptional customer service abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a hospital setting and with geriatric patients is advantageous. + CPT and BLS certifications are preferred. + At least one year of active phlebotomy experience is ideal, though more experienced candidates are preferred. + Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Work Environment This position is located in a laboratory and medical environment, covering a variety of shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The role involves floating among locations in Irvine, Orange, and South LA, with possible travel between Manhattan Beach and Newport Beach. Training includes a two-week program, with the second week requiring full-time attendance. The work involves standing for 50% of the time, and team collaboration with another phlebotomist is essential. The company provides accommodation during training if necessary.
