Job DescriptionOur enterprise client is looking for a Senior Media Asset Specialist to join their team This is a 40 hr/week, 3 month assignment that requires candidates to come onsite 3 days a week in NYC. The Senior Media Asset Specialist will function in a variety of capacities across the media team. We are looking for an individual who understands creative workflows and can be embedded with both show post teams and Marketing producers, and understand both worlds. The qualified candidate will have a creative background as well as a technical understanding of specs and file types and the applications that are utilized by post production. The Senior Specialist does the high level support and troubleshooting of our marketing teammates, so a customer service persona who can interact with lots of different types of creative individuals is critical. Ideal candidates will have experience troubleshooting post production applications and workflows with digital cinema cameras, video file types, Avid Media Composer/Adobe CC Ingest and Export, and asset management systems, as well as experience and deep understanding of creative workflows on show productions and Marketing productions. Adobe Experience Manager Assets and other Media Asset Management systems are a plus.Daily tasks and responsibilities across the media team vary. The Senior Specialist will do most of the complex troubleshooting of applications and workflows, but all Specialists work directly with our shows and our Marketing creatives to bridge the gap and streamline communication on creative and technical issues arising throughout production. Media ingest, export, transcoding, and delivery workflows and the creative implications of those processes are paramount as we work closely with our teams around the globe. Tasks are assigned based on a combination of skillsets and team needs and urgency. Good customer service attitude when troubleshooting and supporting media software and workflows with creative users on deadlines is paramount.Responsibilities: - Evaluate, ingest, and deliver digital media assets into and out of our centralized Avid Nexis / Interplay environment. - Communicate with show post production teams and partners across the globe and acquire media via various delivery platforms. Perform visual and audio quality control evaluations for ingested digital media and completed assets. - Troubleshoot media and application issues for Marketing production clients and editors in a fast-paced editorial environment. - Train users and create documentation on new technical procedures and workflows.Requirements:1) Non-Linear Edit Experience a. 4+ years of experience; Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premier. 2) Troubleshooting Software Applications a. 2+ years of experience; Operating as a POC for internal applications.Nice to Have Skills:1) Adobe Experience Manager - Assets 2) Coding or development experience Soft Skills: 1) Great written and verbal communication 2) Customer Service Attitude 3) Troubleshooting and process improvement. 4) Media or entertainment background Technology Requirements: 1) Avid Media Composer 2) Adobe Creative Cloud a.
