Job Description

The HR Intern will support the People Team in executing various HR functions and initiatives, specifically NYC Fair Work Week Audits. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional setting, offering exposure to employee engagement, HR operations, and compliance. The intern will assist in day-to-day HR activities and contribute to projects that enhance the employee experience and organizational effectiveness. Assists Compliance Coordinator in audits for NYC Fair Work Week Assist in gathering missing audit information for compliance and updates to General Managers and Area DirectorsAssist in generating and distributing daily approval sheets, auditing schedules, tracking premium pay, and recording approvals.Submitting all required premium payments to Payroll if needed. Supports employee relations; receives and investigates staff complaints with neutrality, impartiality, and confidentiality, gathering relevant information and documentation, conducting interviews, reviewing video, producing reports, and providing updates as necessaryInput and update cases in EthicsPoint Incident Management system.Maintain HR drive case files ensuring all findings and case documents are organized and legal ready.Ensure write ups, termination documents, Note to Files are uploaded in employee’s UKG employee documents.Assist with writing discipline documentation and processes to ensure timely, consistent, andappropriate intervention.Provide administrative support for HR projects and daily operations.Help ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.Assist with planning and execution of cultural or employee recognition events.Performs special projects or other duties as assigned by HR leadership.Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.Previous internship or administrative experience is a plus but not required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Bi-Lingual is a plusMust be at least 21 years of age, possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportationEmployment eligibility to work in the United States requiredRestaurant experience preferred
