Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic accounting firm in the Rancho Cucamonga area. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with small business clients across diverse industries, including construction, medical practices, restaurants, and more. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage accounting and bookkeeping tasks for small business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and maintain journal entries and general ledger accounts. u2022 Assist with corporate tax return preparation and provide support during tax season. u2022 Handle sales tax reporting and payroll-related tasks as needed. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to organize and analyze financial data. u2022 Collaborate with clients to address accounting inquiries and provide solutions. u2022 Learn and apply tax strategies for S-Corps and Partnerships under supervision. u2022 Support the team with accounting-related tasks while contributing to process improvements. u2022 Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of tax and accounting practices. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance. u2022 Minimum of 1 year of related experience, preferably in public accounting. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with tax software is a plus. u2022 Familiarity with debits, credits, and general accounting principles. u2022 Exposure to payroll and sales tax processes is advantageous. u2022 Strong initiative and a willingness to learn and grow within the role. u2022 Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
