Job purposeProvides engineering support through a structured method of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience, receiving academic credit for the job experience.u00a0Duties and responsibilities- Create CAD models and drawings of products, production tooling, inspection fixtures, and special equipment.u00a0- Assist in assembling tools and magnetic assemblies. Readily assist production, engineering, and floor operators as required.u00a0- Engineering Co-Op will be expected to complete a key project and present findings to management during their Co-Op block(s).u00a0- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications- Requires enrollment for a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or other related engineering discipline.u00a0- Experience using CAD software, Solidworks heavily preferred.u00a0- u00a0Experience reading and creating mechanical drawings, knowledge of GD&T desired.u00a0- u00a0Previous work experience in a manufacturing type environment desired.u00a0Working conditions- May be exposed to industrial oils, toner, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals. NOTE: All safety precautions will be used.u00a0- Could work in areas with excessive noise.
