Administrative / Shipping Specialist - 2nd Shift (Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire) Location: Brooklyn Heights, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Training: 1st Shift Training Provided Pay: $16.50 per hour Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire About the Opportunity A respected company in the Brooklyn Heights area is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join their growing team. This position plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service, managing sensitive documentation, and coordinating logistics with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls promptly (within two rings) and identify caller needs. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, representatives, airlines, and vendors. Inform customers of available services and accurately determine pricing. Negotiate pricing with vendors and ensure accurate documentation of all transactions. Prepare, proofread, and process legal and administrative documents. Maintain detailed and accurate case notes in company software. Read, address, and distribute emails and faxes promptly. Book airline flights for human remains and coordinate logistics. Track the status of certified death certificates and communicate updates. Make follow-up customer service calls to ensure satisfaction and resolution. Maintain professional communication across all shifts and departments. Ensure filing, cleaning, and general office organization is maintained. Verify that all remains (human and pet) are properly identified, tagged, and released per procedure. Greet and assist local visitors and families with compassion and professionalism. Assist with cremation intake and help pet families during the bereavement process. Support business growth through excellent service and teamwork. If assigned as a lead, coordinate shift assignments and manage team schedules. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining a team-oriented attitude. Qualifications & Abilities High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of customer service experience (call center, administrative, or office environment preferred). Strong attendance and reliability record. Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor. Ability to multi-task and make quick, confident decisions. Capable of handling stressful or sensitive situations with tact and empathy. Strong computer literacy and accurate data entry skills. Excellent listening, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Able to handle employee or customer conflicts constructively. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and climb two flights of stairs. Willingness to work overtime as n
