Job ID213095** **Job Description:** Seeking a Milling Machine Machinist 2 to support our internal CNC machine shop where you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside other machinists, programmers and engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Launch Vehicles Business Unit in Chandler, Arizona. **Responsibilities:** * Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills, 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis CNC lathes. * Cut stock materials in preparation for machining parts. * Use calibrated, precision measuring tools to check part features throughout machining to ensure part quality. * Provide feedback to CNC programmers to help improve machining processes. * Create simple CNC programs using NX CAM * Apply clean-as-you-go and 5S principles while performing work daily. **Basic Qualifications for Milling Machine Machinist 2:** * 6 years machining experience. * 4 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. * Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills. * Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools. * Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and address conflict in a constructive manner. * This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen. **Preferred Qualifications for Milling Machine Machinist 2** * 10 or more machining experience. * 7 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. * 2 or more years programming CNC machines using CAM software * Working with Mitsubishi controls on a DMG-Mori lathe. * Working with Haas controls on Haas 3-axis and 5-axis mills. * Familiarity with aerospace industry documentation, specifications and quality requirements.
