Department: Radiology (Rad Tech) - General Certification Requirements: BLS - Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT certification and Washington state license. - How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: total of xray rooms spread throughout the medical center and OR rooms. - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Will cover in addition to General Radiology (x-ray) an outpatient clinic, Inpatient and Outpatient Fluoroscopy, Outpatient Ortho Clinic, ER, fluoro/xray room in CCU, and OR- rooms. Techs will be scheduled in one area and rotate areas on a weekly basis- may need to move areas to cover. - Common types of imaging & Job Duties: General, fluoroscopy, OR, and portables. - Experience: Expectation is for travelers to be able to cover ALL areas Fluoroscopy and OR (knowing how to operate O-arm and C-arm) year of experience. ER experience is preferred. - Average of scans/studies per day: OR-average with just C-arm about - per day. Fluoro-about exams per day. Average general x-rays per day around . - EMR &/or PACS: Cerner Power Chart, RIS (Radiology Information System) Client Centricity, PACS- Philips Intellispace. - Department Specific Equipment: All x-ray rooms are Philips- mostly DR (direct radiography) there are a couple CR (computed radiography) all are fully digital. Portables- there are machines and all are Client DR. OR- Ziehm and Client/OEC C-arms and a Siemens O- arms. - Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Leads - Do they use RRA's: No - Radiologist in-house?: Yes - Shifts & Scheduling: Shifts vary: start at AM and cascade from there to AM. Regular staff work hour shifts, however have been making exceptions for hour shifts- :a-p. - Weekend Requirements: Weekends as needed - Holiday Requirements: If there is a need the travelers may be asked to work. - Call or Standby requirement?: Call as needed - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: Navy, gray, or a mix of navy and gray. Scrubs will be provided when working in the OR- please wear casual clothes (no loungewear) when coming to work and needing to change. - Department specific orientation: First day would be organizational specific orientation with modules will then get set up in a daily rotation of the different areas-generally week.
