Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. All positions require successful completion of a background check. Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for providing emergency care and first aid for injuries and illnesses to participating youth campers.Ensures participant’s medical consent forms are submitted and completed prior to camp.Provide and maintain hydration stations as appropriate.Maintains confidentiality to include but not limited to information, files and records that the incumbent may obtain or possess, in accordance with federal and state laws and University of Hawai‘i policies.Maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in the department, participants and parents.Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawaii and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future.Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if you have reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, students, or others have occurred or will occur.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degreeValid NATABOC CertificationValid CPR/AED certificationRegistered Certified Athletic Trainer with the State of Hawai‘iOr equivalent combination of education and experience
