This is a full time 32 hour, day status position, with weekend and holiday rotation. The hours are 7:00am-3:00pm What You Will Do: As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Catholic Medical Center's Cardiovascular Surgical Unit, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of quality patient care by performing a variety of technical components essential to patient safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include: Providing direct patient care activities within the scope of Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) practice, as defined by the State Board of Nursing and organizational policies. Assisting healthcare providers with selected patient care activities or tasks as appropriate. Reporting observations, symptoms, and changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Responding promptly to patient call bells, performing patient rounds, and communicating effectively with staff to meet patient needs. Supporting patients and families in addressing psychosocial needs and cultural preferences. Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including ambulation, transfers, range of motion, and personal hygiene. Participating in patient admission processes and ensuring patient privacy and dignity. Performing Electrocardiograms (EKGs), Capillary Blood Glucose (CBG) monitoring, and other designated technical procedures as directed. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers. Participating in quality monitoring activities, restocking supplies, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. Adhering to safety principles, infection control protocols, and organizational policies and procedures. What You Will Bring: High school diploma or equivalent. Current registration as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in the State of New Hampshire. Basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills required. BLS certification required; must obtain prior to completion of orientation, not to exceed 21 days from date of hire. Must maintain BLS certification throughout employment.
