Specifications Writer in our Lakeland, TN office. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Prepare project specifications Advising project teams as they write Schematic Design narratives Work with Project Managers in project meetings and other coordination efforts with firm clients and building owners. Developing specifications from meetings as the project develops Reviewing drawings and specifications to coordinate designations Enhancing and maintaining A2H master specifications within the Quality Assurance Department Reaching out to local municipalities to understand current codes and standards related to material specifications Working with project teams and reviewing architectural plans to prepare specification Assisting project teams in resolving problems related to the use and installation of building materials and products that arise during design and construction Conveying a broad knowledge of building codes, structures, basic construction law and materials standards to others Staying current on product development, new materials, and industry trends Assisting with quality control and quality assurance processes Requirements A minimum of five years of architectural specification writing experience preferred Bachelor's degree in architecture preferred but not required Private and public sector project experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous experience with medium and large-scale, technically-complex projects required Profiency with SpecLink software Knowledge of CSI principles and construction materials required CSI Certification is preferred Demonstrated experience in different project types in A2H catalog Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel Experience with MS Outlook email and calendar Benefits Health/Dental/Vision Insurance 401k Plan Flextime Scheduling Hybrid Schedule PTO hours (Personal Time Off) Paid Volunteer Time Off
