Assist Lab Supervisor with daily tasks, serve as the backup for the Lab Supervisor and ensure proper communication between personnel and Supervisors, in the direction of direct Supervisor. Functions & Responsibilities 1. Cover for absent employees. 2. Maintaining laboratory functionality and operations 3. Training new employees and refresher training for returning employees 4. Collect, analyze, and post all samples from the beet end of the factory. 5. Collect, analyze, and post all samples from the sugar end of the factory including white sugar produced during campaign. 6. Understand sample points and proper collection. 7. Inventory of lab equipment, utensils, and consumables 8. Daily storage tank measurements 9. Daily %Inverts 10. Daily lactic acid analysis 11. Daily pressed pulp analysis 12. Preparation of lab reagents 13. Weigh and prepare fondant sugar 14. Daily review of lab checklists 15. Tare Lab preparation and functionality 16. Weekly silo analysis 17. Weekly instrument checklist 18. Semi-weekly micro samples 19. Monthly glass & brittle plastic inspection 20. Monthly round robin inspection 21. Collect scheduled outsourced samples and provide to Lab Supervisor 22. Semi-annual molasses and sugar composites 23. Support lab personnel 24. General cleaning of lab, including washing towels on property 25. Cleaning of the Tech Services office 26. Ensure methods of analysis are up-to-date and utilized 27. Analyze sales molasses 28. Analyze sugar sales during Inter-Campaign 29. Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
