Quality Inspector Job Description The role of Quality Inspector involves performing visual and dimensional inspections on aviation parts, ranging from details to top assemblies. While aerospace experience is not required, it is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in QC inspections, utilizing tools such as calipers and micrometers, and the ability to read blueprints. Responsibilities + Perform visual and dimensional inspections for Receiving, First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections on aviation parts. + Understand and apply visual and cosmetic standards. + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. + Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators. + Write inspection and nonconformance reports. + Understand root cause analysis and participate in corrective actions. + Review supplier certifications for conformance to requirements. + Collect data for statistical analysis. + Interpret tolerances and understand the application and use of precision measuring instruments. Essential Skills + Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications. + Proficiency in using measuring equipment: calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators. + Experience in performing visual and dimensional inspections. + Capability to write inspection and nonconformance reports. + Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions. + High School Diploma is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred experience in the aerospace industry. + Ability to perform data collection for statistical analysis. + Understanding of geometrical and positional tolerance requirements.
