Driver - Flatbed Steel Deliveries Location: St. Louis, MO 63125 About the Role This position involves driving a flatbed truck to deliver steel materials locally for our client in the steel industry. Drivers are responsible for safely handling steel loads, operating forklifts for loading and unloading, and utilizing cargo straps to secure shipments. Deliveries are all local, serving the greater St. Louis area and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities Drive flatbed trucks for local delivery of steel materials, ensuring timely, safe transport. Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move steel products within the facility and at customer locations. Secure steel loads on the flatbed using tie-down/cargo straps and ensure all loads meet DOT and company safety requirements. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain required documentation. Communicate professionally with clients and team members during delivery appointments. Requirements Valid Class E (or higher) Missouri driver’s license. Forklift operation experience (formal certification preferred). Previous experience in cargo securement with tie-down straps - steel cargo experience a plus. Proven history of safe driving and delivery, ideally in flatbed or industrial environments. Able to lift and secure heavy steel products; comfortable with physical work. Strong understanding of load safety and DOT regulations for local commercial deliveries. Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail in paperwork and safety. Optional/Preferred Qualifications Prior work experience delivering steel or similar heavy industrial materials. Experience with flatbed trailers and strapping steel products. #ARMO
