We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications As a Unit Secretary, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care every day. You will create a welcoming, organized space where patients and families feel valued and informed. You will use clear, compassionate communication and attention to detail to keep the unit running smoothly and caring for others like family u2013 one shift at a time. Your responsibilities will include: + Greeting and guiding patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, offering updates, and ensuring they feel informed and supported + Maintaining patient records accurately, entering physician orders, and protecting patient information + Handling all communications between incoming calls and care team members promptly and clearly to keep the unit connected + Keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to promote safety and comfort + Taking initiative to solve challenges, support daily operations, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork What qualifications you will need: u00b7 High school diploma/GED u00b7 Previous clerical experience. u00b7 Previous experience as a Unit Secretary in a hospital setting preferred. u00b7 Strong customer service skills. u00b7 Familiarity with medical terminology. u00b7 Computer literate (ability to utilize computer programs such as Meditech, Word, Excel, etc) u00b7 Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching and some lifting.
