DESCRIPTION OF WORK Maintains solid waste landfill/grounds/associated environmental sites and facilities for the City of Hastings. # QUALIFICATIONS At least one year of experience in grounds and building maintenance, and one year of operation of light grounds maintenance equipment Valid drivers license with ability to be insured by the City's insurance carrier to drive city vehicles, commercial driver's license preferred. # ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Maintain existing grounds/facilities; mowing, trimming, edging, pruning Perform litter control, debris, wood, at various city facilities and adjacent properties Use of hand tools, riding power equipment to perform grounds maintenance tasks Load customers vehicles with mulch utilizing skid steer loader Operate hook box truck to unload at landfill area Perform light maintenance/repairs on facility equipment and vehicle/equipment cleaning Assist in vehicle/equipment preventative maintenance program To use computers for special reporting software, word documents, and excel spreadsheets.
