Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and organizedLegal Assistant or Paralegalwith direct experience increditors' rightsandAlabama foreclosure lawto join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in judicial and non-judicial foreclosure matters, creditor bankruptcy representation, collections, and real property litigation. A strong understanding of Alabama’s foreclosure procedures and title laws is essential. ResponsibilitiesDraft, prepare, and file legal documents related tojudicial and non-judicial foreclosuresin accordance with Alabama law, including complaints, motions, notices, affidavits, and sale documents. Review title reports, deeds, and loan documents to verify chain of title and lien priority. Coordinate foreclosure sales and publication requirements under Alabama law. Track statutory deadlines and manage calendars for hearings, pleadings, and publication schedules. Communicate with courts, clients, and title companies Prepare documentation and pleadings for creditor representation inbankruptcy proceedings(Ch. 7, 11, and 13), including motions for relief from stay. Assist with post-sale confirmations, evictions, and surplus fund processes where applicable. Maintain accurate case records, billing, and client communications in the firm’s case management system. RequirementsAssociate or Bachelor degree; Paralegal certificate preferred. 2-5+ years of experience in a law firm or legal department focusing oncreditors’ rights, real estate, and/or foreclosure in Alabama . Familiarity withAlabama judicial and nonjudicial foreclosure statutes , procedures, and publication requirements Understanding oftitle searches ,chain of title , andreal property lawin Alabama Working knowledge ofbankruptcy proceedings(especially in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama) Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management platforms (e.g., Black Knight, ICE, or similar) Experience using PACER CM/ECF; SCRA platforms Preferred QualificationsExperience working directly withmortgage lenders, banks, or loan servicers Familiarity withFDCPA ,RESPA , and other consumer protection regulations Notary Public certification (Alabama) is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
