Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in managing vendor payments, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate expense tracking. Your expertise will support the finance department in maintaining efficient operations and accurate reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor bills by scanning, verifying, and entering them into the accounting system. u2022 Generate accounts payable reports and facilitate payment approvals. u2022 Post approved vendor payments and wire transfers into the accounting system. u2022 Audit and update spreadsheets with detailed costs related to legal cases. u2022 Review factory bills and monthly statements, ensuring accuracy before posting them in the system. u2022 Validate and categorize credit card charges, ensuring proper expense allocation. u2022 Communicate with departments and vendors to resolve missing invoices and record credit card transactions. u2022 Deposit and reconcile daily sales transactions using batch or payout reports. u2022 Investigate and resolve merchant service chargeback claims for wholesale and retail sales. u2022 Process employee reimbursements and record debit transactions from bank statements. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role. u2022 Strong skills in invoice processing, coding, and expense reconciliation. u2022 Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely payments. u2022 Experience with auditing and categorizing expenses across various accounts. u2022 Familiarity with retail and wholesale sales reconciliation processes. u2022 Ability to handle credit card expense validation and reporting accurately. u2022 Adept at resolving discrepancies in merchant services claims. u2022 Proficiency in financial software systems and spreadsheet tools.
