OverviewReporting: This position reports to the Technical Services Manager.Schedule: Full Time, Occasional Saturdays (As library coverage requires)Salary: $32,000 - $35,000 (Salary is commensurate with qualifications.)Great Benefits: Annual leave; Sick leave, Holidays, Teacher’s Retirement System (TRS) of Georgia. Job SummaryThe Courier position is a critical component of Flint River Regional Library’s daily operations and service to member libraries and the community. The courier will be responsible for driving the library’s vehicles to member libraries and other locations to pick up and deliver library materials. The individual in this position must provide the highest level of customer service by sorting materials and scheduling deliveries. The courier will be responsible for vehicle maintenance and upkeep on all vehicles. QualificationsA high school diploma and basic computer skills: email, GPS (global positioning system) for navigation; prepares transit reports and vehicle maintenance records.Reliability and trustworthinessAbility to manage time and value punctualityStrong communication, organizational, and customer service skillsMust have an excellent, clean driving record, and possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check will be performed prior to employment. The candidate must be able to strictly follow safety rules, driving laws, scheduled routes and standard driving guidelines.
