Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Vice President & General Counsel to join our client in the casino and gaming industry for a full-time, onsite role based in Elk Grove, California. The Vice President & General Counsel will lead all legal and regulatory matters across our clients gaming operations in Elk Grove, CA. This full-time, onsite role will oversee compliance with federal, state, and tribal gaming laws, employment law, vendor contracts, tort claims, liquor licensing, and joint ventures, with respect to Tribal sovereignty. In addition to providing legal advice, the VP & General Counsel will also advise senior leadership on policy, risk, and strategic business decisions. Essential Job Functions/Duties: u2022 Learns and applies knowledge of the Tribeu2019s sovereignty, jurisdiction, and authority in all legal matters. u2022 Interprets laws and gaming regulations; advises leadership on compliance and legal updates. u2022 Represents the company in litigation, joint venture disputes, and regulatory proceedings. u2022 Drafts and manages contracts, leases, NDAs, employment agreements, and other legal documents. u2022 Oversees legal aspects of joint ventures, including fiduciary duties, risk, and compliance. u2022 Liaise with government agencies, external counsel, and business partners. u2022 Leads internal legal team and manages outside counsel. u2022 Enforces company policies and ensures regulatory, health, and safety compliance. u2022 Supports employment law matters and internal audits. u2022 Oversees retail contracting, sustainability, and social/product compliance. u2022 Maintains professional conduct and performs additional duties as needed.
