Job Description

Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description The candidate will be responsible for preparing materials to be sent to the welding department, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed accurately and safely. Responsibilities + Learn and execute safe machine operation involving the B-25 Band Saw and Groover machines. + Perform in-process inspections including dimensional verification and surface preparation. + Maintain records of inspections and ensure finished products meet specifications. + Verify calibration of all inspection instruments and gauges. + Navigate Medix for job and spool management. + Complete all daily checklists and TPMs. + Ensure all area 5S duties are completed. + Communicate maintenance issues with Line Leads and Shift Supervisors. + Perform in-process testing or inspection of product as required. + Report findings and notify QA Manager of any non-conformances. + Operate CMM and conduct internal audits of processes. + Conduct daily scrap collection and make recommendations for improvements. + Acquire knowledge of the product's fit, form, and function. + Implement corrective and preventative actions. + Develop training plans and conduct training sessions. + Perform technical duties or special assignments as directed. Essential Skills + Experience in production, general production, and machine operation. + Proficiency in inspection and quality control. + Ability to interpret blueprints and manufacturing experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment is preferred. + Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows software is preferred. + Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes. + Good understanding of shop math and ability to read tape measures and measuring tools. + Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints. + Good written and oral communication skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
