We are currently seeking a Director of Risk, Quality and Compliance to join our child and family services team. In this role, you will help ensure the highest standards of safety, service quality and regulatory compliance across programs, supporting staff as they navigate complex care environments, strengthening internal systems and practices, and ultimately helping create a secure, equitable experience for the children and families we serve.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements the Child and Family Division’s Risk and Quality Management PlanOversees accreditation and licensing processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulationsLeads efforts to maintain and achieve organizational accreditation with the Council on Accreditation (COA) or other recognized accrediting bodies, including coordination of documentation, staff engagement, and continuous readiness activitiesLeads contract compliance efforts, including monitoring, reporting, and corrective actionsCoordinates internal audits and external reviews, and ensures implementation of plans of correctionProvides consultation and training to division leaders on risk mitigation, quality improvement, and complianceOversees data collection and analysis related to service outcomes, utilization, and regulatory complianceFacilitates feedback systems to identify and address systemic improvement opportunitiesSupports RFP/RFI/RFQ responses and leads post-award compliance reviewsCollaborates with IT and other departments to optimize data systems for compliance trackingChairs internal compliance and quality committees for the Child and Family DivisionEnsures staff training requirements are met and documented across all child and family programsLeads new employee orientation for the Child and Family Division and ensures staff are informed of compliance, quality, and accreditation standardsQualificationsMasters degree in social work, public administration, human services, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in administration or oversight of human services programsExperience in nonprofit or human service sector (required)Familiarity with child welfare regulations, licensing standards, and accreditation processesCurrent state of Michigan driver's licenseMust reside in the state of Michigan (required)Comfortable traveling throughout Michigan regularlyPositive attitude with a passion for serving children and familiesStrong communication and relationship-building skillsSchedule and CompensationEmployment type: Full-time, 40 hours / week, salary-basedSchedule: Monday - Friday, with flexibility based on the needs of the teamPay Rate: $85,000 / year (bi-weekly pay)Hybrid - Remote: home based with flexibility to travel weeklyTravel: regular travel as needed to various Wellspring offices and campuses - milage reimbursement providedBenefitsHealth, Vision and Dental insurance403(b) Retirement plans + matchingPaid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysMilage reimbursementDailyPay - access your earned wages anytimeWellspring SupportLinc - employee assistance programSupportive, caring team environmentEngaging and meaningful team atmosphereFull job description provided during the interview.Join Wellspring and use your service-minded approach to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families throughout Michigan.
