Job Description

The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator role is responsible for administering all aspects of training activities in Electric Boat’s LMS. The LMS Administrator provides quality customer service and uses technical expertise to research, analyze, resolve, and respond to basic and complex LMS tasks and issues in Cornerstone on Demand and the Skills Reporter Tool (SRT). The LMS Administration Team supports all Workforce Development training delivery areas as well as training area embedded in business areas at EB outside of Workforce Development.This position is located in Groton, but the candidate must be willing to travel to Quonset Point as required.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute scheduling based upon forecasted demand and emergent requestsManage the scheduling of new employee training and provide completions within the LMSMaintain weekly training schedulesProcess completions from classroom attendance rostersValidate entry of data into CornerstoneManage and resolve instructor-led training (ILT) related inquiries via Outlook, phone, Skype, or in-personCoordinate on the implementation of the training delivery plan with responsible coordinator and/or program leadCoordinate instructor scheduling and room reservations in support of training needsCoordinate catering orders for training sessions that provide lunchCoordinate and dispatch necessary training-related notificationsManage waitlists as necessaryAssign certifications as part of a completion process, when applicableResolve Training Support tickets for ILT scheduling, enrollments, and completions assigned by the Help DeskManage large scheduling projectsManage and maintain all process documentation and toolsOversee the utilization of classroom scheduling to support the needs of multiple departmentsRecord manual completions for competencies completed by Operations or Safety that are not F26-enabledRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED1+ year of experience in an administration role or managing a Learning Management SystemPreferredBachelor of Science degree in HR, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, IT, Computer Science or Data AnalyticsPrevious experience working with Electric Boat’s business systems, including Outlook and ATTICTs, Cornerstone on Demand, Skills Reporter ToolPrior experience coordinating instructor led training (ILT) sessions, managing training logistics, and/or maintaining training records.Excellent customer service and client support skillsAptitude to learn software, operating systems, and applicationsAble to multi-task in a complex, dynamic environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to quickly prioritizeIntermediate to advance Excel proficiencyInside
