We are in search of a skilled Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our team in Manchester, CT. This position involves managing financial records and office operations to ensure smooth functioning on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where they can manage both numbers and people. Primary Responsibilities: Keep detailed and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Handle bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and journal entries. Process invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports. Assist with payroll preparation and ensure precise reporting. Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for management review. Assist with audits, tax submissions, and compliance documents. Office Management Responsibilities: Supervise all office operations, including supplies, vendors, and facility management. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff, vendors, and clients. Support HR tasks such as onboarding, maintaining employee records, and coordinating schedules. Organize meetings, manage correspondence, and provide administrative support to senior management. Establish and uphold organizational systems to enhance office efficiency. Qualifications: Preferred Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience required (experience with QuickBooks or similar software preferred). Prior experience in office management or administrative leadership is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong time management and organizational abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive financial and employee information while maintaining confidentiality. Must be able to work in-office daily.
