About the Company:Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Controller will be responsible for the accounting and SEC reporting activities for the BDC sector of the firm. Responsibilities: Oversee the fully redundant month-end close processes, calculations of NAV, and explanation of drivers Oversee and produce registration statements, 10-Qs/10-Ks and other SEC filings Lead the internal control/SOX program Perform technical accounting research and interpret relevant information pertaining to the firm Manage the annual audit and quarterly review processes Coordinate and prepare various reports/materials for quarterly committee meetings Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required 10-15 years of public and private experience CPA preferred Experience with BDC/credit portfolios, internal controls, and public reporting Experience working with fund administrators, RIC compliance, and SEC registration process is a plus Strong Excel skills Salary Range: $185,000-$235,000
