Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Newport Beach, California. This role involves managing financial operations for a portfolio of self-storage units and mobile home parks, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in property management accounting, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality financial results. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and completeness. u2022 Perform complex bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies between account systems and bank statements. u2022 Record and review journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger. u2022 Manage and oversee the financial operations of approximately 20 multi-state properties. u2022 Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting. u2022 Handle credit card reconciliations and resolve mismatches efficiently. u2022 Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting. u2022 Utilize Sage Intacct software for financial management and reporting. u2022 Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and controls. u2022 Take ownership of assigned portfolio properties, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in property management accounting, preferably with multi-state portfolios. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP. u2022 Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. u2022 Stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment. u2022 Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
