Job Summary JOB SUMMARY: Oversees all fires safety department areas of responsibility under the direction of the Unit Director/Fire Safety Assistant Director. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u2022 Understand and implement Fire & Life Safety Policies u2022 Implement and manage Building Fire Safety Plans u2022 Perform ILSM assessment and document preparation u2022 Manage and implement hot works program u2022 Manage and review above ceiling permits u2022 Manage fire stopping program u2022 Manage and implement clear corridor program u2022 Participate in event walk-throughs to ensure life safety compliance u2022 Participate in Environment of Care rounds and required follow-up for corrective work u2022 Manage and review lab inspections and required follow-up for corrective work u2022 Maintain all documentation of programs of responsibility Fire Marshal staff to include, but not limited to (if applicable): o Shift staffing level and weekly payroll submissions o Manage and implement fire drill program o Manage and implement in-service training program o Manage and implement preventive maintenance programs, PMu2019s and BMPu2019s o Manage and review all Fire Marshal daily reports and Occurrence reports u2022 Maintain all documentation of programs of responsibility u2022 Perform necessary audits to ensure full compliance with joint commission standards and all governing agencies u2022 Perform all Manager responsibilities as requested by the Director/Assistant Director of Fire Safety QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
