Job DescriptionA fast-paced medical office is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our patient care team. This role is one of the first points of contact for patients, helping ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process while delivering exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet, check in, and check out patients with professionalism and accuracySchedule appointments and update patient profile information in the EMR systemVerify insurance using phone or online tools and collect copaysAnswer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries appropriatelyMaintain patient confidentiality and ensure all documentation is completeEscort patients to exam rooms when necessaryPrepare and print forms needed for patient visitsAssist with follow-up appointments and referral schedulingSupport providers by identifying HEDIS-related needs for scheduled patientsPresent patient satisfaction surveys and escalate service issues when neededParticipate in daily/weekly team huddles to discuss patient needsPerform general administrative duties including faxing, emailing, scanning, and record updatesMaintain a clean, organized reception areaProvide superior service and build trust with every patient interactionRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMediClear Certification or equivalent HIPAA/Privacy training requiredMinimum 1 year experience in a medical office, clinic, or similar patient-facing environmentStrong computer skills including EMR experience and basic IT system familiarityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational abilitiesStrong customer service mindset and ability to stay calm under pressureAbility to multitask and handle a steady flow of patientsFluent in spoken and written EnglishPreferred QualificationsMedical Assistant education or certification (not required)BLS for Healthcare ProvidersProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Skills Needed for SuccessPositive, professional attitudeStrong listening and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a team-oriented environmentAbility to deliver accurate documentation and maintain compliance standardsComfortable with fast-paced clinical operationsRequirementsAssistant
