All minimum qualifications must be from an accredited institution and met by the effective date of appointment. If qualified applicants are not available, those not meeting the minimum qualifications may be considered on an exception basis.Functionally native oral and written fluency in Spanish, the ability to communicate in English, and one of the following:Master's degree in Spanish (language or literature)OR Master's degree in Spanish as a Second LanguageOR Master's degree in the study of the culture or history of the people who speak SpanishOR Master's degree in Linguistics, ESL, Education, or another language. At least 12 credits of *advanced coursework in second language methodology, Spanish literature, Spanish culture, or any combination thereof.*Advanced coursework" is defined as 300-400 level courses offered in a bachelor's program.
