Job Description

Mythics is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the implementation of the Zero Trust Reference Architecture (ZTRA) and Comply-to-Connect (C2C) cybersecurity solution at STRATCOM. This engagement involves deploying, operating, and sustaining the Forescout CounterACT platform to enforce cyber policies, monitor endpoint compliance, and automate security enforcement across multiple networks. Must work onsite at the client M-F in Omaha, NE.Responsibilities and Essential DutiesDeploy, troubleshoot, and maintain Forescout CounterACT appliancesIntegrate Forescout with third-party tools (e.g., Carbon Black, Palo Alto, McAfee)Develop custom content and scripts (Python, PowerShell)Monitor system health and ensure operational continuitySupport endpoint compliance and vulnerability managementComplete DISA-provided Forescout training within 4 weeks of assignmentOther DutiesPerform all other duties, as assigned.Active TS/SCIBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or related field and/or equivalent work experience.8 years of work experieceForescout Experience (preferred):Hands-on experience with CounterACT deployment and operationsScripting Skills:Proficiency in Python and PowerShellSystems Knowledge:Linux/Windows OS management, virtualization, and basic Cisco networkingCybersecurity Tools:Familiarity with WAF, IDS/IPS, ACLs, andTenable.scCompliance Understanding:Knowledge of Zero Trust and Comply-to-Connect conceptsCertifications:ForeScout Certified Associate (or ability to obtain)DoD 8140 certification (must be obtained within 180 days of start date)Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSAs)Experience with Active Directory service account maintenanceFamiliarity with 802.1x, RADIUS, Syslog, and regular expressions (RegEx)Strong troubleshooting and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a secure environmentAs a federal government contractor and a recipient of federal funding, Mythics and Emergent is required to abide by the Drug-Free Workplace Act, which requires Mythics and Emergent to provide a drug-free workplace, among other obligations.
