High Transit LLC is the specialty hauler for the affiliated companies of High Industries Inc. The company also provides specialty heavy hauling services to the construction and manufacturing industries. Located at High Transit in Lancaster, PA.TheFleetTechnician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, welding, maintaining and repairing a variety of road, industrial, and construction equipment. This position will support our 3rd Shift team working Sunday-Thursday from 9:00PM to 6:30AM (can vary)Third-shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential.Responsibilities of our fleet technicians include:Must perform local, state, and federal inspections on all types of equipmentPerform repairs to Peterbilt's, flatbed trailers, Over-head Cranes, Forklifts and other material handling and heavy equipmentAbility to perform brake reconditioning, suspension repairs, replacement of seals, alternators, starters, clutch, transmission and other general repairs for Class 1 to Class 8 vehicles.Perform repairs to tractor electronicsComplete welding repairsCandidate may be required to perform road service a few times a yearMay work in outdoor elements at timesOur ideal candidate will posses the following education and work requirements:1-5 years of experience as a fleet maintenance mechanicA valid Class 7 State Inspection and Emissions license is preferred, we are willing to train candidates without this license in order to obtain itGeneral welding experience requiredASE Certifications and Refrigeration license a plusThe ability to work in both a team and independent environment, making decisions without the assistance of supervisionDriver's License requiredWorking for The High Companies:At High Transit coworker are a high priority!
