Description We are looking for a Stylist Assistant to join our team in New York, NY. In this role, you will support stylists and the crew in various aspects of photoshoot preparation and execution, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Assist stylists by preparing merchandise, including steaming and organizing items for photoshoots. u2022 Provide on-set support to ensure seamless workflow by addressing issues promptly and collaborating on solutions. u2022 Work with team members to keep the styling closet organized and manage daily tasks effectively. u2022 Maintain cleanliness and safety in shooting areas throughout the day. u2022 Coordinate the flow of samples and merchandise, including tracking inventory and managing logistics for photoshoots. u2022 Support sample trafficking processes for editorial shoots, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling. u2022 Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth operations. u2022 Communicate daily with fashion and buying teams to ensure efficient sample flow and resolve any delays. u2022 Collaborate with stylists to prepare merchandise for styling and photography, contributing to the creative vision of editorial shoots. u2022 Utilize inventory management systems to track and account for all samples and merchandise. Requirements u2022 Experience assisting with on-set photoshoots and familiarity with related tasks. u2022 Knowledge of garment care, including steaming and basic tailoring techniques. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage inventory and samples. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and vendors. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. u2022 Prior experience supporting fashion or e-commerce styling teams, with an understanding of sample trafficking and vendor relations. u2022 Familiarity with inventory management systems, such as Fashion GPS, and photoshoot production processes.
