Job#: 3009518Job Description:Services to Be PerformedWe are seeking a highly motivated Operations Accountant with strong technical accounting expertise to support our growing organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting for complex operational activities, including revenue recognition, inventory management, and accruals for liabilities such as royalties and bounty payments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience applying technical accounting standards in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), including reviewing contracts, identifying performance obligations, and recording related monthly accruals.- Manage accounting for inventory under ASC 330, including valuation, adjustments, and related reporting.- Prepare and maintain accruals for liabilities incurred, such as royalties, bounty payments, and other operational expenses.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure accurate financial reporting.- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for assigned areas.- Identify process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Required Skills- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.- 2--4 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to technical accounting concepts.- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply standards such as ASC 606 and ASC 330.- Ability to perform month-end close and prepare detailed balance sheet account reconciliations.Preferred Skills- CPA or equivalent certification.- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or similar environment.- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.- Aptitude for leveraging technology and ERP systems for accounting processes.- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, follow through, and meet deadlines.- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.u00a0u00a0u00a0EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
