Job Description BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Sr. Security Specialist in Sterling heights, MI. The Security Specialist will work with subcontractors, functional leads, procurement, and teammates within the Security group to ensure all contract deliverables are met and the installation is secure. This position will report directly to the Security Manager and will support Security, Fire, Emergency Services, Business Continuity, and ATF FEL Management. Clearance:This role requires an active Secret Security Clearance Location/Schedule/Travel:This will be an onsite role where you will work at the Sterling Heights, MI siteThis role will work on a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday offThe position will require Responsibilities:Serve as a member of the Security Team and support security measures in accordance with Defense (DoD) contract terms and conditions, government requirements, and company policiesWork cross-functionally to support Security strategies related to Industrial Security programs (Security, Fire, Emergency Services, Business Continuity, and ATF FEL Management)Interact with functional leads and engage with government customers and security leaders in support of DoD programs, contracts, and proposalsEstablish professional relationships with law enforcement and corporate legal, human resources, facilities, and other business departmentsAdminister security programs and procedures for classified/unclassified and proprietary materials, documents, and equipmentSupport physical security requirements, risk evaluations, audits, investigations, and protection of assetsUtilize video and access control systems, case management software, and forensic evidence collection equipmentSupport data management, analytics, and reporting, including security operations plans and documented event reportsSupport security best practices and process improvements to enable program executionWork with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issuesAnalyze both data and situations for appropriate responsePositively affect organizational dynamicsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Must have an active Secret Security ClearanceExperience in Industrial Security within US Government, Defense, Corporate Security, or related environmentExperience in Security risk assessment, investigations, and auditsExperience in Security equipment and software, such as, security access, cameras, and alarm systemsExperience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, etc.Ability to use discretionary judgment to resolve both routine and non-routine issuesAbility to work in a team-based environment with other business professionalsAbility to multi-task within a rapidly changing environmentAbility to meet deadlinesStrong organizational and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Professional Certifications, such as, ISP, CPP, or PSPExperience in industrial security for a DoD contractor under the NISPExperience in Military Security regulations and operating proceduresExperience with SIMS, NISS, or DISSExperience with Physical Security ProjectsKnowledge of business continuity and crisis management planning and proceduresKnowledge on information security planning measuresStrong investigative and case management skillsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
