Provide a short description of the Position: Business Analyst - Analyze and document DPS’ business, systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution. Candidate will work on existing and new initiatives including but not limited to Utility Assessment System, Telecommunication Company Information, Pipeline Audit System (Client), Document and Matter Management (DMM), and Enforcement support, enhancements, and developments efforts. Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: • Use recognized business analysis methodologies to elicit requirements from business users for the project. • Facilitate and guide requirements sessions with IT and DPS business staff. Communicate efficiently the business process requirements to IT staff, program staff and stakeholder. • Develop and document Business Requirements for the project using defined ITS template and standards. Develop, analyze and revise system diagrams (flowcharts, state diagrams, strategy maps, etc.) as needed on the project • Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each phase of analysis and testing • Track and fully document changes for functional and business specifications; write detailed procedures for permanent records and for use in training • Participate in developing test plans for the project and in overseeing system changes or enhancements, to ensure user and program requirements are met.
