Location: Salem, OregonPay: $18-20 DPE Overview We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Receptionist to be the first point of contact in our mental health therapy practice. The ideal candidate will create a warm and welcoming environment for clients while supporting clinicians with essential front-desk operations. Key Responsibilities Client Interaction & Front Desk Support Greet clients warmly and check them in/out in a professional manner. Answer and direct phone calls, respond to voicemail, and manage messages. Provide general information about services, office procedures, and appointment logistics. Maintain a calming and supportive presence for clients who may be anxious or in distress. Scheduling & Administrative Tasks Schedule and reschedule appointments, ensuring accurate calendar coordination. Send appointment reminders and assist with reducing no-shows. Enter and update client information in the EHR/practice management software. Manage waiting room flow and ensure clients are attended to promptly. Payment & Insurance Assistance Collect copays and process payments accurately. Assist clients with basic insurance questions and direct complex inquiries appropriately. Verify benefits or gather required documentation as directed by the administrator. Confidentiality & Compliance Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations. Handle sensitive information with professionalism and care. Required Skills Fluent in spanish. Warm, welcoming, and patient-centered customer service approach. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment. Basic knowledge of scheduling, phone systems, and office procedures. Proficiency with computers, email, and office software (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace). Ability to maintain calm and compassion during emotionally sensitive situations. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or customer service is a plus. Experience in reception or office positions is a must. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.
