The Detail Planning organization is currently looking for motivated candidates to support work instruction development and change maintenance for the COLUMBIA Class Program. In this role, you will create and maintain work instructions in support of manufacturing, assembly and installation for the Mechanical Discipline.This position will involve developing and maintaining work instructions in the Teamcenter IPDE toolset through collaboration with peers in Design, Engineering, and Operations. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of new processes, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will interface frequently with many different organizations across the company while professionally representing Planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration skillsResponsibilities Include:Development of work instructions for COLUMBIA ClassAdherence to processes, procedures, and standardsCollaboration with peers and supervisors for the development of new processes and proceduresCompletion of work in support of department goals related to quality and attainmentInterfacing with organizations across Electric Boat in a professional mannerThe seat location for this position will be New London or Eagle Park.Required:High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of Planning, Design/Engineering or Operations Experience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with computers including Microsoft Office SuitePreferred:Proficiency with Teamcenter or experience using COLUMBIA planning work paperExperience with PCM/EWPExperience with the IPDE toolsetPast experience in warehousing, transportation, planning, or equivalentExperience with product structuringPast Experience as OSM, ISM and/or Mechanical DesignExperience with ERSSkills:Computer skillsOrganization skillsVerbal and written communication skillsInterpersonal skills
