Job Description

ResponsibilitiesThe Hopaco Retail Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers in all aspects of retail operations to ensure total quality, including stocking, pricing, and resolving customer inquiries. Proactively acknowledges and engages every customer to create a positive experience. Maintains awareness of current advertisements and promotions. Delivers outstanding customer service by informing customers about Company products and services. Effectively uses communication tools to request assistance on the sales floor and to coordinate service and customer engagement throughout the store. Demonstrates knowledge of company policies and product information to confidently answer associate questions and customer inquiries. Executes merchandise-related activities to ensure merchandise presentation standards are met, including implementing plan-o-gram changes, merchandise sets, and price updates. Updates store signage or POP materials as needed. Utilizes the Point of Sale system to accurately scan or enter customer items for purchase or refund. Verifies payment method and processes customer payments correctly. Follows cash handling procedures to ensure funds are secured in the locked cashier drawer or retail safe. Uses approved processes to take customer special orders, prepare orders for will call or delivery, and coordinate store transfers. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices. Supports company loss prevention initiatives. Performs daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting as needed. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
